Pay it forward

I cannot believe what a stressful and LUCKY day I had yesterday!

I stopped by the grocery store in the afternoon. I didn't even have much stuff in the cart...two bags and two gallons of milk. But I somehow managed to leave my purse in the shopping cart! I was frantically searching for it all over the house when I got home. Then I panicked thinking that I MUST have left it at the store...and surely it would be gone! So I raced back up to the store on the corner (where they happen to know me by name). I almost wanted to kiss the manager when I asked him if anybody turned in a purse and he proceded to pull it out of the safe! Some really nice and honest customer had found it in the cart outside and turned it in!!! I couldn't believe my luck....given that my phone, Ipod, and all my credit cards and ID and some cash were in the purse!

Later that same night, I took the kids to McDonald's so they could burn off some energy in the playland. I was being very chatty with another mom who's son was playing with Hannah and Mason. When it was time to go, I packed up and loaded the kids in the car. I went to grab my phone out of my purse to see what time Jim had called me. It was NOWHERE to be found! Not in my purse, not in my diaper bag, not in the truck. I seriously wanted to cry!!! I had JUST had my phone at the table in McDonald's...now how could it have diappeared??? I turned the car around and ran back into the restaurant and asked the cleaning lady if she had found a cell phone when she was cleaning. She said no. I almost gave up and went home when I suddenly remembered that Mason has been OBSESSED with throwing trash in the trash can at the playland lately! I thought it was worth a try...so I grabbed the trash can and started rummaging! Can you BELIEVE I actually found my phone in there??? That little turkey Mason threw my phone in the trash when I wasn't looking!!!

I can't believe the guardian angels looking over me yesterday! I really need to do some good deeds this week to repay my good fortune!

Lift up your voice!

On Sunday morning, Hannah sang in church with her preschool class! Always an individual, you can see Hannah standing off to one side by herself. The little girl next to her is her 5 year old friend Kerianna. Kerianna was trying to tell Hannah in a hushed voice, "Come on! Come sing with us over here!"

Mason got a kick out of seeing his big sister at the front of the church. You can hear him saying her name over and over! Next thing you know, he escaped from Jim's lap and ran right to the front where all the pre-schoolers were! It got quite a laugh from everyone!

Schnepf Farms

What a fun night! Jim & I took the kids to Schnepf Farms for the Halloween Festival that takes place every year. Hannah and Mason had a BLAST riding the haunted train! They both thought the monsters who jumped out at us were nothing but hilarious. I would've been terrified at their age!

The kids danced to a live band at dinner, watched a pig race, and Hannah rode a pony! They both loved climbing all over the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch...and even ended the night with a pretty cool fireworks show! Needless to say, the kids were pooped by the time we got home...and they're now sawing logs! I love fall festivals!

Slip n Slide

I'm totally convinced now...my kids are nuts. Crazy. Loco. Wild. Watch this video and you'll see them in action!

Spoooooooky!

Last night, the four of us ventured out to the garage after dinner to dig out the Halloween decorations. The kids loved digging thru all the boxes filled with old wigs and costumes! I wish I would've had my camera to snap some shots of them being silly with the scary masks on too! Every time I would pull something out of the boxes, I would say to the kids, "ooooooooooh! Spoooooky!" So Mason started saying, "Toooooooky, Tooooooooky!" It was really cute.

I took a couple pictures of our accomplishments. The kids really liked helping and ...well, Jim cleaned the garage! LOL We're very excited for my dad's Halloween visit next Thurs-Sun. Hannah and Mason can't WAIT to go trick-or-treating with Papa!

To Grandma's House We Go!

Jim's mom and dad invited us and the kids over to their house today for lunch. The kids LOVE going over there because Grandma Carol always has yummy treats for them! They also love playing with all the animals! Grandma Carol has 7 chickens, a cat, and one goat named Billy. Billy's girlfriend, Philly, passed away a couple months ago.

Hannah and Mason had a great time collecting the "eggs" that the chickens layed (they were really only the decoy eggs), and running away from Billy who likes to nudge the kids with the top of his head! He'll even get up on his hind legs and dance towards you!

Grandpa Tom caught a little bird in his hands...and Hannah was so excited to pet it! It was a very nice afternoon!

Long sleeves? Really???

I know it might seem like I talk about the weather here a lot...but if you live in the Valley, you probably understand why. We're back up to the upper 90's today...but last week we actually got to enjoy the little cold front that pushed through. In the pictures from the park, it even LOOKS like fall with all the leaves on the ground, huh? ;)

On a different note...Hannah made me laugh again last night (shocking?). She was counting...and every time she would say a number, I would repeat it in Spanish. So we're counting along...
Hannah: Three!
Me: Tres
Hannah: Four!
Me: Cuatro
Hannah: Cinco!

I laughed and said you know Spanish numbers? Well then count for me! She actually said uno, dos, tres, (some messed up version of cuatro), and cinco! I guess the episodes of Dora the Explorer are really paying off!

Just an over-nighter....

This weekend, Jim and I (along with a group of 10 other bikes) went for a Harley ride up to the mountains in Prescott. My mom was so nice and volunteered to keep the kids the whole time we were gone which made it so that we didn't have to pay a sitter!$$$

We knew there was a cold front pushing thru for the weekend...so I went on the trip very prepared with warm clothes. But I am definitely a desert rat....because I was FREEZING! The ride up to Prescott yesterday wasn't toooooo bad because we reached our destination at the warmest time of the day. We stayed at a nice hotel 2 blocks away from Whiskey Row (the party/bar hoppin' street). When we walked back to our hotel room last night at 1am....it was 32 degrees!!! Needless to say, I was anxious to get to the room and crawl under the covers! Brrrrrr!

We left Prescott at 9:30 this morning and OMG! I was a popsicle on the motocycle after we made it down the mountain! Back in Phx it was a gorgeous day though. We missed the kids but they had a great time with Nana. She took them shopping, to McDonald's, and to the park! It was a good weekend for everyone!

Don't eat out of the pink bowl!

The craziest time of day around the Moser house is when I'm cooking dinner and trying to entertain the kids while we wait for Daddy to get home. It's nuts! They're hungry, want my undivided attention, and are nearing bedtime...so moods can be very temperamental! Last night, Hannah and Mason found entertainment in the tupperware cabinet! It was a mess to clean up...but it was worth them being happy while I finished cooking...so, well worth it!

A Cold Front is Pushing Thru!

Well, since it's FINALLY below 100 degrees, we headed out to the park today! We met Stacy & Jackson...along with Stacy's 2 nieces, Avery and Ella. The kids had a blast...but were still pretty rosey in the cheeks after about a 1/2 hour! Still hoping for cooler temps around here!

A Day at the Improv

Hannah's been on a role lately with her comedy routine. I have no idea where she gets all of her material...but she's hilarious nonetheless!

Last week I was trying (unsuccessfully) to get a movie playing for her in my bedroom and she says, "Mom, you're freakin' me out!" ???

Then, today in the car, she was making raspberry sounds with her lips and thought it was HILARIOUS! She says, "I'm cracking myself up!!!!"

And finally, this afternoon, I picked up the phone to make a call. Hannah says, "Who you callin' Mommy?" I said, "I'm calling Uncle." She said, "Jackson's daddy?" I said, "Yep! And did you know that Uncle Michael is MY brother?" And she said, "YEAH! And did YOU know that Chucky Cheese is MY sister?"

I almost fell over I was laughing so hard...which is her most desired reaction from me...so she followed up with, "I'm cracking myself up AGAIN!"

I love my little comdedian!
